What Are Micro Expressions? | Body Language

  1. I have choosen these video because it talks about the body expressions that we have talked during this assessment.
All the people do body expressions, sometimes, unconciousness, also I have choosen this video because I think that it could be difficult doing this expressions conciosness because for example, when Peio told us to do a video of theese body expressions it looks grate but when you are doing it, it looks quite difficult because you don´t know how do it it very well for it doesn´t looks naturaly.
Also body expressions are always utilizated by people, for example, you are in class and you can´t talk and you are going to say something you do it by body expressions and your partener is going answer your questions by expressions too.

  2. I think micro expressions are something we are not aware of. It is so common of us to see and understand them that we dont really do that contiously. We really know every single face expression of everyone we know. If someone bites his/her lips we can tell that he/she is nervous, or is excited about something... if someone rise one of their eyebrows we know that person is mad, or didn´t get something. But we never think of that. This is so natural for human beings that get unnoticed. I really liked this video because it really makes you think about how many of your feelings are you showing to people, even if you don´t want to.

  3. Wow! Lorena your video is amazing! I think that language isn’t just words and gestures. It is composed also by intonations, vibes, intentions, … and finally by micro expressions.
I also think that micro expressions aren’t the most important content of the language. This is because is very complicated to identify them, not all the people get concerned about their existence, neither I.
While doing the class work I realized that on our daily lives we use much more body expressions than what I thought. I think that language takes more wealth when is mixed with gestures, because they allow you to understand the message better.
I liked what the man in the video says about global gestures, for example smiling is understood the same way in the whole world. But there are also some gestures that are totally different in our country and in other ones.

  4. You have chosen a very interesting video for your post this time Lorena!
During this second assesment we have been talking a lot about body expressions, but there is something that has been overlooked, and it is what this gusy explains us in his video. Microexpressions. For me it is something new, something I had never heard of, and I think for more than one person in our class is new as well.
Microexpresions are something we are doing every single minute in our lifes, even when we are not aware of what we are expressing, minimal gestures, sometimes imperceptible, but which can mean a lot in a particular circumstance.
From my point of view, it is a very interesting topic that you have chosen and you have shown the rest of the class a part of the topic that we are working on, that we did not know yet.
