"Speed Training" Drills- Verónica

  1. Hello everyone
    I liked this video so much so I decided to put it in our blog, mainly because some of the tips the video shows we have been doing it this last weeks, which means that all of us can carry out this exercises. This video shows some tips which can help us to improve one of the main physical capacities, the speed.
    I have found that the exercise called Build up springs, we´ve been practicing it in class. It was the one where we had to increase our speed when Peio says Up. Another exercise that we´ve been practicing is the Lay down sprints in movement.
    I found really interesting the other tips, especially the one which uses a tennis ball.
    Personally, I really enjoy doing speed in class, so if this help me it will be good.
    Other fact I think is that the people who are dedicated to this sports may have difficult to just improve their marks in some decimals just to proclaim themselves winners.

  2. Hi Veronica!
    I really enjoyed this video about how to improve your speed. Speed trainings at perhaps the most difficult ones to practice. We all know how to speed up 50 meters once or twice, but how to improve speed itself requires other types of skills and knowledges that, thanks to this video, we can practice now.
    Personally, speed is the basic physical capacity that I find more difficult. I can resist a whole race and run up to 4 kilometres. However, it is really hard for me to push my muscles to their limit and run at my maximum speed.
    As we can see in the video, Build up Springs are a really useful way to make series of repetitions at our maximum speed and become better in this physical capacity. We have been practicing them in class too. Therefore, with this video and the different trainings that we have been working in class, we can start training our speed.
