FIRST AID

  1. Hi, I'm David, a student of the first year of high school at the San Gregorio School, and I'll leave you with a video and the steps to follow to carry out the maneuver on the baby:

    1. Put him face down on his forearm, resting his jaw and head on his hand. With the bottom of the other hand, give five quick and energetic strokes in the middle of the upper back.

    2. If the object does not come out, put the child on his back on his

arm or skirts Put your index and middle fingers over the center of the baby's sternum, about the width of a finger below your nipples. Give him five quick pushes. Alternate five blows to the back with five chest pushes until the object is free.

    3. If you do not respond, start cardiopulmonary resuscitation and have someone call 911. With your hand, support the baby's head and turn the baby's head upside down. With your index and middle fingers in the center of the baby's chest, about an inch on your back, lift your chin, press your nose with your fingers and place your lips over the child's mouth tightly. Give it two blows of air initially and then one every three seconds. If you are not yet breathing, push the chest 1 to 11? 2 inches at a rate of 100 compressions per minute. Blow it in your mouth every five compressions.

    Well that's all thanks David.

  2. Hello to everybody!

I'm Mario Martín Pérez and I'm going to explain you the reasons of why I have chosen this video from my classmate David Ruiz to comment it:

1- It is important to know what to do when a person is choking. There are a lot of people who know what to do, but the methods are really different if we are talking about dealing with babies.`

2- The video is easy to understand, because there are nice examples and demonstrations so you can learn better how to react.

3- After watching it, you can save a baby's life in the future, proceeding more relaxed than if you have never watched how to deal with a baby who is choking.

Now after watching the video, we know two new methods to save a baby's life:

1- Back blows: With the blows you can cause a vibration or pression which can force the object out.

2- Chest thrusts: The air of the lungs can push the object out. It is important to call 112 if the baby continues choking after trying this two methods.

Thanks David for bringing us this interesting video! Now I am sure we'll know how to react better in a situation like this! It's always important to know methods which can save a person's life.

I hope you have had a great time reading my comment!

    So long!

  3. Hello!
I’m Mónica, and I’m going to comment this video that my mate David posted about the first aid methods we need to make to a baby choked under 1 year old.

This method that we need to follow, is different from the adult one, but not less important. For it, there are two main steps we need to follow:

    1. Back blows: giving strokes carefully to the back trying to get the object out of the baby.
    2. Chest thrusts: they need to be made with two fingers.

These two steps must be alternating five-five until the object has gone.

Of course, previously you would have had to call emergency (112).

This is all, I hope you enjoyed my post.
