Hi there! I am Belén Ruiz, a student from the first year of bachiller. In this assessment we are supposed to comment a video about sports and games so, as I am a big fan of Harry Potter, I decided to explain how to play Muggle Quidditch. Firstly, the most important thing you need is a broomstick. Of course, we cannot fly, but it is quite funny running with a stick between your legs. One of your hand has to be always holding the stick. There are four positions in quidditch: chasers, beaters, keepers and seekers. There are 7 players in each team: three chasers (they are responsible for passing and scoring the quaffle, each goal is worth 10 points), one keeper (their responsibility is to block attempts to score by the opposite team's chasers), two beaters (which are responsible of hitting the oppising team players with the bludgers and defending their team of the opposing team's bludgers) and a seeker (the wear a yellow brand in their heads and they must take the snitch). When the seeker grabs the snitch, its team wins the match. If a bludger hits the chaser with the quaffle, he must drop the quaffle, remove the broom from the legs and touch their own hoops (the goal), take the broom and go back to the play. A volleyball is used for the quaffle, three dodgeballs three dodgeballs; and for the snitch, a tennis ball inside a sock, that a person in yellow clothes carries stuck in his waistband. The person who carries the snitch can do anything, from somersaults to shoving the seekers. Well, this is all. I hope some people find this sport interesting and maybe start playing it. Bye-bye.
Hello, I am Raquel and I have decided to comment on the Belen´s post because she has chosen a sport about the Harry Potter movie that we have only seen in the film. This game seems to me very funny since you can laugh and you can have a good time imagine that you are in the movie playing with Harry Potter and his friends. The part that has caught my attention has been that a group of young people come together to perform this type of sport Ok!! This is all I hope you like my schoolmate´s post
Hi there! I’m Javier Robles Martín, from 1st Year of Bachillerato. First and foremost, I want to thank my classmate Belén for bringing us this rather unknown game. Although Muggle Quidditch is based on Harry Potter’s books and movies, anyone (including those who aren’t fans of this series) can have a great time practicing it. One thing which has been drawn to my attention about this video is the fact that most players’ aim is not winning the competition. Actually, they play Quidditch just for fun, a fact that is always perceived and appreciated by the audience. The main aim of the sport is to catch the snitch, a tennis ball which is carried by a player in yellow clothes. When playing Quidditch, you are supposed to score a goal in the hoops as well. At simple sight, it could seem as a normal game, but the fun of it is that contenders run with a broomstick between their legs. Just with a little imagination, players can pretend they are flying. In my opinion, Muggle Quidditch is such an interesting game, which I don’t mind to practice in the future. For my part, this is basically all. See you soon!
Oh my God! I think this post is the best one that anyone have posted on this blog. I chose to comment in Belen´s post because of that, I think she has taken a very original video. When somebody talk to you about playing a game, I do not think many people think of this game at first option. Watching this video, I think muggle quidditch is a game that we could practice, in my opinion I see it as a mixture between football, rugby,tennis... A lot of sport. I think it can be a very complete sport and would be very fun and more for fans of Harry Potter. Thanks Belen for this video.
Hello! I’m Angy a partner of Belén in school. I have chosen this video because I think this discipline is interesting to comment and get to know into it. For example, I’m not very interested in this kind of sports but, after see this video I see that it could be very interesting and funny to enjoy, even if you are so scared to go on this, you can always go to see it personally of via internet. This video was very interesting, because this is a unusual sport. And as I can see this sport is getting viral.
